When Autumn leaves pass by my window.

I saw this beautiful picture on FB recently and I thought the message was so simple and yet deeply profound.

The Trees are about to show us how lovely it is to let things go.

We do hang on to things even the things that are causing us pain and I felt that this image and the message of the trees just allowing the leaves to fall either one at a time or a few together made me want to watch some of the leaves falling in my garden. It occurred to me that the falling leaves are not wasted. Indeed they are turned into something beautiful – nourishment for the soil! So perhaps when we do allow ourselves to let things go – slowly, steadily - that when they have fallen they too perhaps become nourishment for the soul! I do believe that nothing is ever wasted and there is much to be gained from seeing the good in things that may at the time seem bad but if we recall our wonderful power of hindsight things always turn out for our greater good and development when we learn to bend with the wind and allow our leaves to fall. Maybe we should look to nature for the many more lessons she has for us to learn from if we but make the time to look! The most beautiful things grow from what seems to be the most adverse conditions!

When the night has been too lonely

And the road has been too long

And you think that love is only

For the lucky and the strong

Just remember in the winter

Far beneath the bitter snows

Lies the seed that with the sun’s love

In the spring becomes the rose.
