Yoga tomorrow morning 11.15a.m. at Greasby Centre where we will continue to work with using the breath to move the body remembering to always be kind (ahimsa), work without judgement and, as best you can, stay in the present moment.
Gratitude is an important aspect of doing yoga where we should cultivate having gratitude for however our bodies can move, breathe and respond to movement or holding a pose. As best we can, being deeply aware of the feedback from the mind, the breath, the body and the nervous system and even the heart centre which is our place of kindness, compassion and non judgement.
Gratitude for knowing when to play the edges of poses and when to move back to a place where we can maintain a pose with integrity of body and breath.
And finally, gratitude that we can attend yoga and have the interest within our being to nurture it through the practices of yoga, pranayama, meditation and relaxation.
Therefore, practice saying thank you to all of your being, the body that works tirelessly everyday through whatever life brings as an experience, for the breath that is our means of life, for our nervous system that responds, hopefully rather than reacts, to whatever presents itself on a daily basis and even our mind which does its best each and every day (and night while sleeping) to make sense of our experiences throughout life.
And on a note of gratitude, many thanks to everyone who turned up for the all important ACT 2 that Kris completed last week and now officially has her interim certificate to say she is proficient to teach yoga!
Thank you and Congratulations Kris!
Shanti Om
