As we step into the gentle warmth and renewal of May, we’re invited to soften, expand, and reconnect—both within ourselves and with the world around us. This month, our focus is on heart opening, gratitude, and caring, themes that align beautifully with the energy of spring in full bloom.

HOYLAKE PARADE:
Wednesdays - 10 a.m. Wednesday 6th May, 13th May, NONE ON WEDNESDAY 20TH MAY, and last one of the month 27th May.
🌸 Heart Opening
May is a powerful time to explore heart-opening practices, both physically and emotionally. Through backbends, chest expansion, and mindful breathwork, we create space in the body where tension often lingers. But heart opening goes beyond posture—it’s about allowing ourselves to feel, to connect, and to be present with compassion. Expect sequences that gently build strength while encouraging vulnerability and release and connection to the heart space.
🙏 Practising Gratitude
Gratitude shifts perspective. It grounds us in what is already abundant in our lives. This month, we encourage you to begin or deepen a simple gratitude ritual—perhaps a few moments at the end of your practice or journaling three things you’re thankful for each day. Notice how this small shift can create a more spacious and joyful inner landscape.
💛 Caring for Self and Others
Caring is a practice. It begins with how we speak to ourselves, how we honour our needs, and how we show up for others. In class, we’ll weave in moments of reflection and intention-setting to help cultivate kindness, patience, and empathy—on and off the mat

Pranayama to support the heart-opening practices
