Namaste all,
Yoga is back! click link to view reel
I hope you have enjoyed your summer break and feel rested and restored particularly if you have managed to find a place in the sunshine!
Yoga returns next Monday 2nd September 11.15a.m at Greasby Centre.
The return will be a gentle one to ease you back into the flow but of course, and as always a tad of strength work, not too much, just enough to release any muscle tension and connect the mind to the body!
This quote by Deepak Chopra is talking about inner connection and the part of our being that is beyond the mind and the senses, the soul, Atman (soul or spirit), higher Self, energy of the Universe, whatever you would like to perceive it as, it is that part of our being that can be accessed during yoga and meditation practices when we have navigated our way beyond the fluctuations of the mind.
The cause of our suffering is the inability to distinguish between what is the truth (what perceives) and what appears to be the truth (what is perceived).
—Yoga Sutra II.17
Our mind and senses can warp what we think is reality, truth or perception and the practices of yoga assist in settling the mind to clear our senses from misconceptions the result of such practices leading us to see our inner Self, or light of being that is beyond the experiences of just th physical world.

And in the meantime,
Go shine your light, and give others permission to do the same! (paraphrase of the words of Marianne Williamson!

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson.
