A reminder that yoga for THIS WEEK only is starting at 11.05a.m. as Kris will be taking the class for her ACT 2 so do please support if you can as it is an important session.
You will be working towards Utkatasana (fierce or chair pose) which is a pose about building strength throughout the whole body especially in the legs, abdominals and back muscles.
Working with strength always requires that we stay present and focus on listening to the feedback from the body and the breath therefore always working to build Dharana (concentration, focus and willpower) and of course always ‘Being’ wherever you can best connect to being in the pose with good alignment and ease of breath in the present moment.
The present moment is the only place we should aim to be both on the mat and off the mat as the past has gone and the future has not yet happened so practice through asana, connection to the breath and focussing the mind at each stage of the class assists in remaining in the present moment without distraction.
